Il Verse-Eau versatore in vetro Taillé (sfaccettato) per assenzio è un recipiente unico utilizzato per aggiungere con delicatezza acqua (e zucchero, se desiderato) all’assenzio. Questo magnifico oggetto è una fedele riproduzione di un brouilleur in vetro datato alla fine del XIX secolo, un’opera molto ambita dai collezionisti e difficilmente reperibile.
L’utilizzo del Verse-Eau versatore in vetro Taillé è semplice ma affascinante: si versa un bicchierino di assenzio nel bicchiere e poi si posiziona il Verse-Eau sopra di esso. Successivamente, si colloca il ghiaccio all’interno del bicchiere Verse-Eau e si procede a versare lentamente l’acqua, utilizzando un decanter o una brocca, sul ghiaccio. L’acqua ghiacciata inizierà quindi a fluire attraverso un piccolo foro posto sul fondo del bicchiere di assenzio sottostante.
È importante prestare attenzione a non riempire completamente il Verse-Eau con acqua, poiché ciò potrebbe comportare un’eccessiva diluizione del bicchiere di assenzio o un’aggiunta di acqua superiore alle preferenze personali. Si consiglia di versare piccole quantità d’acqua in modo graduale, permettendo di assaggiare e regolare l’assenzio prima di aggiungere quantità eccessive.
Ogni Verse-Eau ha un foro sul fondo che può variare da un esemplare all’altro, in quanto ciascuno è soffiato a bocca. Questo foro viene realizzato manualmente con un trapano a diamante, conferendo a ogni pezzo una leggera variazione che lo rende unico.
Per l’uso con lo zucchero, si consiglia di posizionare un cubetto (o più cubetti impilati) sul foro prima di aggiungere il ghiaccio e l’acqua. Questo rallenterà il flusso dell’acqua poiché lo zucchero agisce come ostacolo. Quando lo zucchero inizierà a sciogliersi nell’acqua, l’acqua zuccherata inizierà a fluire nel bicchiere di assenzio, arricchendo ulteriormente l’esperienza sensoriale.
