Absinthe La Verte 72% Bourgeois
Absinthe La Verte 72% is colored by macerating the plants a second time after distillation to extract the chlorophyll. This coloring gives it a more herbaceous note and aromas of undergrowth and fern. This absinthe remains sweet for a green absinthe, with a very slight bitterness and an intense herbaceous aroma carried over by the colouring. The Bourgeois spouses cultivate almost all the plants (except green anise) in their own organic garden, paying great attention to the quality of the chosen plants. Before finding the right recipe for this green, they had to do a lot of experimentation to finally get one of the best Absinthe Verte around! Absinthe La Blanche 56%
Absinthe La Blanche is very suitable for first experiences with tastings, its roundness and its sweet side (no added sugar, only residue), given by fennel, makes it a very sweet absinthe. The rest of the other organic plants grown by the Bourgeois distillery (wormwood, hyssop, lemon balm, etc.) arrive at the finish. Dilution, about 1 volume of absinthe to 4-5 volumes of water. Absinthe The End 68%
Absinthe La Fine 68% is characterized by an intense aroma of organic plants grown by the Bourgeois Distillery and by the limited use of green anise during the distillation process. A product that is difficult to compare with other blanches. This absinthe will appeal to those looking for a more typical product, in which the bitterness of absinthe will be slightly more evident. Its alcohol content serves to best preserve its aromas, so we recommend a slightly stronger dilution, i.e. 1 volume of absinthe to 5-7 volumes of water, depending on your convenience. Absinthe La Saugette 53%
It is an absinthe with a lot of body. The combination of green anise and fennel gives it an intense flavor and makes it a soft and balanced drink. This harmony with aniseed reveals the aromas of Artemisia absinthium carefully grown and harvested organically. Anne-Sophie and Arnaud Bourgeois produce 5 versions of the distillate in their organic distillery, located near Pontarlier in the Doubs. In this idyllic setting, they also offer very peaceful accommodation, the distillery cottage.
