Cocktail with Absinthe – Sleepy Hollow

 

Inspired by a Tim Burton film, the Sleepy Hollow Cocktail is a classy addition to an evening with imaginative friends. Thanks to the smoky flavors of Mezcal and the sweetness of Allspice Dram, the Sleepy Hollow Cocktail is an easy seasonal aperitif but with a crazy character

INGREDIENTS

• 15ml of Absinthe Trilogy (alternatively a Verte of character)
  •  
• 60ml of Mezcal
• 30 ml of allspice Dram*
• 2 drops of Angostura bitters
• Rosemary as a garnish
• Ice enough

PREPARATION OF THE COCKTAIL WITH ABSINTH

Pour the absinthe into a rocks glass and swirl it to cover the sides of the glass well. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the Mezcal, Allspice Dram and 2 dashes of angostura bitters. Shake vigorously. Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice and garnish with the rosemary. For a magical touch, light the rosemary with a lighter to create a smoky, ghostly tone, just like in the Tim Burton movie!

*Allspice Dram is a product made from Jamaican pepper (or in English allspice) is one of those antique Caribbean rum products, made in Jamaica.
